TW THWtn314 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

A rectangular black-bordered road marker from Taiwan, carrying the character 南 and the number 314 in flat black on white.

Visual Elements & Composition

White makes up almost nine tenths of the design, with black forming a squared-off border and the two markings inside. The character 南 sits beside the numerals 314 on one horizontal line, centred within the frame. The border is even and closed, with softened corners that suit a sign panel. Apart from the outline and the lettering there is no shading, colour or ornament, so the strong contrast does all of the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

The marker borrows the layout of road signs used in Taiwan. The character 南, pronounced nán and meaning "south", indicates direction, and 314 names the route. Signs like this tell drivers where they are heading and which road they are on, so their meaning sits in their clarity. The artwork keeps that practical language and presents it as a modern graphic, tying a working road sign to the island it serves.

Cut to Its Own Shape

A die-cut sticker takes its outline from the artwork, so the squared border becomes the edge of the piece. Because nothing extends beyond that boundary, the marker reads as one self-contained object. It fits neatly on a laptop, a notebook or a camera case, anywhere a compact route sign feels right at home.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
