TW THWch186 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

A monochrome route marker that frames the character 彰 and the numerals 186 inside a rounded black border.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and white make up the whole palette, with white covering the bulk of the surface. The rounded rectangular border encloses the content and forms the piece's outline. Within it, 彰 appears in bold black sans-serif, followed by the three numerals 186 in the same weight. The horizontal arrangement keeps the character and digits on one line, and the open white field around them gives the sign its clean, uncluttered look.

Meaning & Symbolism

彰 is the first character of Changhua (彰化), a county on the west coast of Taiwan, and on its own it signifies clarity and visible display. The numerals 186 read as a route or location number, the kind used to mark a point on a road network. Together they follow the wayfinding logic of road signage. The flat, modern vector rendering keeps the piece in a contemporary graphic tradition rather than copying any historic plate.

Cut Around the Sign

A die-cut sticker follows the exact outline of its artwork, so the rounded border becomes the edge of the object. There is no separate background to frame the sign; the sign is the shape. The three-digit number gives the horizontal layout a steady rhythm, and the strong black-and-white contrast keeps the outline crisp.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
