Ontario M502 (Canada) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This design takes the form of a Canadian provincial route marker, built around a white jet airliner set against deep forest green and tied to the route number 502.

Visual Elements & Composition

Dark green dominates the artwork, covering roughly four-fifths of the field, with white taking up most of the remainder and black appearing only in small accents. The layout sits inside a rounded square with a white border. At its centre, a white jet airliner is drawn in top-down view, showing four engines on swept wings, with an airport directional symbol alongside it. The flat vector style is clean and modern, and the strong contrast between white and green keeps the figures easy to read at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The number 502 designates Ontario Highway 502, a provincial secondary route of 151.1 km (about 94 miles) in northwestern Ontario. It runs from Highway 11, east of Fort Frances, to Highway 594 near Dryden, through forested Canadian Shield country dotted with lakes and very few settlements. The airliner and airport symbol point to the remoteness of that corridor, where air travel and the road are often the main ways in. The design also recalls an earlier, separate Highway 502 that ran between Marysville and Napanee from 1957 until 1973 before it was decommissioned.

On the Die-Cut Stickers

Because the sticker is cut to its own outline, the rounded square becomes the whole object, with no background border to frame it. The white edge of the design acts as a clean boundary against any surface it is applied to. The artwork rewards close viewing, since the airliner and symbol are small enough to notice only when the sticker is held or placed near the eye, and the 502 designation becomes the focal point as soon as it is seen.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
