ISL 952 (Iceland) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This design takes the form of a road sign, a single, focused subject presented on its own with nothing competing for attention.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is clean and uncluttered. The sign is the entire subject, with no background scenery or decorative framing pulling the eye elsewhere. Its outline and central motif are given room to stand alone, so the shape reads immediately at a glance. The code 952 and the Icelandic reference in the title anchor the piece as a precise, catalogue-style image rather than a loose illustration.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs are a functional language: a shape and a symbol that a traveller reads in a moment, often at speed, in a country whose roads may be unfamiliar. This artwork ties that visual language to Iceland, a place defined by its open landscapes, long distances and the routes that connect them. The design belongs to the geography and travel tradition of collecting the signs of a place as a way of remembering it.

Made to Follow the Sign

A die-cut sticker is cut to its own outline, so this artwork carries its edge as part of the design. Where a road sign is read from a distance, this sticker is meant to be seen up close, on a laptop, a notebook or a travel case, where the silhouette of the sign becomes a small, deliberate souvenir of Iceland's roads.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
