HORROR OF DRACULA (FRENCH) 1958 Movie Poster STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal - Design

A Glimpse into French Horror

This vinyl die-cut decal presents the iconic French theatrical poster art for the 1958 Hammer Films masterpiece, Horror of Dracula, known in France as Le Cauchemar de Dracula (“The Nightmare of Dracula”). The design offers a potent vision of vampiric horror, steeped in the evocative style prized by collectors.

Sensual and Sinister Imagery

The artwork, characteristic of French poster designs, plunges into the dark heart of the narrative. It employs a bold, hand-painted style, instantly captivating the viewer. The design's core focus is the predatory nature of Dracula, depicted with stark symbolism and a palpable sense of danger. The dramatic use of shadow and light, along with the intensely saturated reds and blacks, create a heightened sense of drama, hinting at both terror and temptation.

The Kiss of Death

The central imagery often showcases Dracula's menacing presence, frequently seen looming over or in the act of attacking a woman, her vulnerability a clear representation of his power and the film's themes of seduction and demise. This striking contrast, coupled with the overall composition, heightens the expressionistic and graphic nature of the artwork, instantly drawing the eye. It's a visual embodiment of the film's core themes: life, death, and the seductive allure of the undead.

The Dracula Legacy

The design clearly spotlights the most important characters, with Christopher Lee's Dracula and Peter Cushing's Van Helsing taking center stage in the form of elegant French typography and credits. It's an artwork that captures the essence of the film's blend of Gothic horror, eroticism, and dramatic flair, a testament to the enduring power of the story.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
