HOLBEIN, Hans the Younger -Henry VIII and his Family- Portrait of Henry VIII (Artwork) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

A formal portrait of Henry VIII of England in the manner of Hans Holbein the Younger, built on deep red, gold and dark tones.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition centres on the king as a single commanding figure, set in a rich palette of deep red and gold with darker tones behind him. The presentation is structured and frontal, the pose held still and upright, so the figure reads with weight and permanence. The gold and red carry the image's regal character, and the dark areas frame the figure so the eye settles on the face and the costume. The design is a die-cut reproduction, so the outline of the figure stands on its own edge.

Meaning & Symbolism

Henry VIII, king of England from 1509 to 1547, is shown as the Tudor monarch he was, and the portrait's formal manner expresses the authority of the crown. Holbein the Younger, the German-born painter who became court artist to Henry, set the standard for this kind of royal likeness: precise, dignified and built to convey status. This version follows the portrait type after Holbein, which made Henry's image widely known across the Tudor court and beyond.

On a Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker follows the outline of the figure, so the portrait stands on the surface without a border or backing square. That suits a composition built around a single commanding figure: the red and gold read clearly at a glance even when the sticker is small. Placed on a notebook, a journal or a laptop, the sticker carries one of the defining images of the Tudor court into everyday use.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
