E4-KH (Cambodia) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This design is the E4-KH road sign, the route marker for Cambodia's first expressway, the Phnom Penh–Sihanoukville Expressway.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is built around a single route marker. The E4-KH designation is the focal point, so the eye lands on the route code first and reads the sign as a standardised navigational plate. Its layout follows the structured, formal logic of official road signage: one clear identifier, no decorative clutter, and nothing competing with the designation itself.

Meaning & Symbolism

The E4 designation marks a route that opened on October 1, 2022, and it spans 190.6 kilometres, linking the capital, Phnom Penh, with the coastal city of Sihanoukville. Built with a $2 billion investment under a Build-Operate-Transfer agreement with the China Road and Bridge Corporation, the expressway is a faster alternative to the older National Road 4. Its two lanes in each direction carry a 120 km/h limit for light vehicles and 100 km/h for two-axle trucks and buses. The sign stands for the shift from local roads to modern high-speed transit, and for the order that keeps that corridor safe.

Designed for the Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker is cut to its own outline, so the sign's shape becomes the sticker's edge. Stuck on a laptop, a bike, a notebook or a travel case, it reads as a route marker you can carry with you. For fans of transport design, road infrastructure or Southeast Asian travel, the piece works as a conversation starter that rewards a second look at the story behind the code.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
