BRONZINO, Agnolo - 1.Portraits of the Medici - Portrait of Eleanora di Toledo (Artwork) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

A formal half-length portrait of Eleanora di Toledo in a crimson embroidered gown, set against deep red drapery.

Visual Elements & Composition

Saturated crimson and maroon dominate, with black brocade bands and gold-warm embroidery running through the gown. Pale skin tones, a white collar and cream linen give the composition its points of light. A pearl necklace sits at the throat, and the hands rest together at the lower centre, with one hand resting on a lace-edged cuff. The vertical format holds the sitter in a three-quarter length view, and her steady gaze meets the viewer directly.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is one of Bronzino's portraits of the Medici, painted in the mid-sixteenth century in the Mannerist manner. Eleanora di Toledo was the wife of Cosimo I de' Medici, and the sumptuous costume, pearls and jewels proclaim the wealth and dynastic standing of the court. The restrained pose and polished surfaces present an image of composed authority, a Florentine ideal of dignity expressed through fabric and ornament.

Cut to the Sitter

The die-cut can trace the figure's outline, so the gown and the pale face and hands lift cleanly from the surface they sit on. The strong colour contrast between the crimson and the pale skin carries well at any size, and the sticker suits a placement viewed up close, such as the cover of a sketchbook or the lid of a case.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
