British Columbia Guide Tab 06-A Brown (Canada) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This sticker reproduces a brown guide tab in the style of a modern road sign, with a single bent arrow pointing up-left inside a rounded rectangular frame.

Visual Elements & Composition

Clean, flat vector shapes do all the work here. White fills roughly three-quarters of the composition, giving the sign a crisp, uncluttered field. Ochre brown, close to #a17940, takes up about a fifth of the design and carries the sign's identity. Black appears only in small accents. The rounded-corner rectangle sets the sign's boundary, and the bent arrow sits within it, angled toward the upper left. The layout is direct and functional, with nothing decorative added to the directional message.

Meaning & Symbolism

Brown guide signs are the recognised convention for directing travellers to recreational and heritage destinations, and this tab adopts that language for British Columbia, Canada. The bent arrow is the core symbol of wayfinding: it tells the viewer where to turn. Paired with the regional tab format, the arrow points toward the outdoor landscapes and visitor sites the province is known for, and the design reads as a pointer toward the Pacific Northwest rather than a generic road marker.

Made for the Cut Edge

A die-cut sticker takes the shape of its own artwork, so the rounded rectangle becomes the object's outline. The sign has no border to trim away: the sticker is the guide tab. Its simple silhouette and strong arrow read clearly at close range, whether it sits on a laptop lid, a notebook, or a travel journal, and the arrow keeps pointing in the same direction wherever it lands.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
