British Columbia Guide Tab 05 Black (Canada) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

A single left-pointing arrow and the numeral 21 sit on a stark black field, turning a regional guide tab into a bold, graphic emblem.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black dominates the design, while white negative space fills most of the remaining field and grey appears only as a faint accent. The layout is centred and graphic: a rounded rectangle and a horizontal sign panel frame the arrow and numeral. The flat vector construction keeps every edge crisp, so the high contrast reads instantly from a distance.

Meaning & Symbolism

A guide tab works as a wayfinding marker. The arrow directs the eye, and the number supplies the reference that places a reader in a system of routes. This version is drawn for British Columbia, the Pacific province of Canada, and borrows the language of regional road signage to speak of geographic identity and organisation. Its modern flat style and utilitarian mood tie it to the everyday graphics of signs rather than to ornamental tradition.

Shaped to the Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker is cut to its own outline, so the rounded rectangle of the tab becomes the edge of the object itself rather than a box around an image. Nothing surrounds the design but the cut, which lets the black shape stand alone on whatever surface it is applied to. The arrow carries its direction onto that surface, pointing in one clear line.

Die-cut vinyl decals: precision-cut shapes on premium water-resistant vinyl with a matte laminate and UV protection — built to resist sun, rain and everyday wear for long-lasting use.

These die-cut decals are trimmed exactly to the design, producing crisp edges and a professional finish. They’re made from thick, water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate that reduces glare while protecting colors from fading.

The production process uses eco-solvent inks for dense, even color and a protective overlaminate that helps the decal survive outdoor exposure. Rated for multi-year outdoor life when applied to the right surface, these decals give a clean, matte look without sacrificing durability.

  • Material: premium water-resistant vinyl engineered for weather resistance.
  • Finish: matte laminate that mutes shine and guards against scratches.
  • Print: eco-solvent inks for solid blacks and vivid color depth.
  • Protection: UV laminate extends outdoor life and helps prevent fade.
  • Longevity: rated to last multiple years outdoors under normal conditions.

Die-cut decals adhere best to smooth, non-porous surfaces — glass, metal, coated plastics and finished wood. They work well on bottles, windows, laptops and vehicle windows for short- to medium-term outdoor use.

  1. Prep the surface: remove dust and oils with a lint-free cloth; for residue use mild soap and water and allow to dry fully.
  2. Peel and position: lift a corner of the liner, align the decal and lay it down slowly, pressing from the center outward.
  3. Seal: smooth the edges with a card or your thumb to ensure full contact and reduce trapping air.

Note: to keep adhesive performance in wet conditions, apply decals to very smooth surfaces (for example: glass). Avoid rough or heavily textured materials where the adhesive can’t form a full bond.

Maintenance is low-effort. Gently wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp microfiber and light pressure will clean the surface — dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents or power washers; these can scratch the laminate or lift edges. Proper care preserves the matte finish and keeps colors vivid for longer.

Sizes are specified by the longest side. For example, a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork’s contour so the decal sits flush with clean, professional edges.

Small variations can occur with intricate outlines, but the listed measurement always reflects the maximum edge-to-edge length for accurate placement planning.
