Amphibious Construction Bn 2 SeaBees (U.S. Navy) REVERSE PRINT Transparent Die-Cut STICKER - Design Description

This sticker design presents a bold representation of Amphibious Construction Battalion 2 (ACB-2), a specialized unit within the U.S. Navy Seabees. The reverse print, coupled with a transparent background, allows for versatile application, making the artwork appear seamlessly integrated onto any surface.

Visual Elements & Symbolism

The central element is a detailed rendering of the ACB-2 insignia. This likely features the Seabee emblem – a hard-hatted Seabee wielding a wrench and rifle, symbolizing construction skills and combat readiness. The inclusion of the unit designation, "ACB-2," clearly identifies the specific battalion.

The design may incorporate elements referencing the unit's amphibious mission. This could include stylized waves, a depiction of a causeway, or other imagery associated with maritime construction and beach landing operations. These visual cues highlight ACB-2's specialization in building critical infrastructure for landing forces ashore.

The die-cut shape of the sticker allows the design to follow the contours of the artwork, further emphasizing the unit's mobile and adaptable nature. The transparency creates a unique visual effect, suggesting the unit's ability to operate in challenging and often unseen environments.

The color palette likely utilizes the traditional Navy colors or shades, possibly with contrasting elements to enhance visibility and visual impact. The overall design conveys a sense of strength, precision, and the critical role ACB-2 plays in supporting amphibious operations worldwide. The reverse print ensures that when applied to the inside of a window or other transparent surface, the design faces outward for maximum visibility.

Reverse-print die-cut decals are made to be installed on the **inside** of glass so your artwork faces outward. Built from water-resistant vinyl and finished with a matte UV laminate, they’re designed to stay vivid while being protected from the elements.

Think of these as “inside-protected” window graphics: the printed face is applied to the glass interior, which keeps the design shielded from direct contact and weather. The core material is a robust, water-resistant vinyl topped with a matte laminate that reduces glare and adds scratch resistance.

We use eco-solvent inks for saturated, long-lasting color, and each decal is precision die-cut so the edges sit clean against the glass. Finished in the USA from globally sourced components, these decals balance durability with a professional, understated look.

  • Material: water-resistant vinyl with a matte UV-protective laminate.
  • Method: reverse-print (installed inside glass) so the environment meets glass, not the ink.
  • Durability: engineered for multi-year outdoor performance when properly applied.
  • Made in the USA: assembled locally from globally sourced parts.
  • Design notes: very small elements placed close together may cut into a single shape; low-contrast elements on dark glass can be hard to see from the street.

Where do people put these? Storefront windows, car or van glass (interior mount), glass office partitions, and interior display cases are common spots. Because the print faces outward but is protected from the outside, the graphic holds up better against touch and weather.

  1. Prep: thoroughly clean the glass—use mild soap and water or an alcohol wipe for grease. Let it dry completely.
  2. Position: peel a corner of the liner and align carefully. Lay the decal down slowly, pressing from the center outward to push out air.
  3. Finish: use a soft card or squeegee to smooth edges; allow at least 24 hours for the adhesive to fully bond before heavy exposure to weather.

Heads-up: if your design uses fine text or very thin lines packed close together, consider simplifying those elements—small slivers can merge during cutting. Also, designs placed on dark-tinted glass will read darker and may lose subtle hues.

Care is low-key but worthwhile. Wipe decals with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For more stubborn dirt, use a lightly damp microfiber and blot dry right away.

Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, and harsh solvents such as straight ammonia or concentrated cleaners—those can dull the laminate or lift edges. Proper, gentle cleaning preserves the matte finish and color saturation over time.

Available in five sizes. We list sizes by the sticker’s longest side—so a 4″ decal measures four inches across its greatest dimension. The die-cut follows the artwork outline for a tight, professional edge.

If your artwork has intricate islands or very thin gaps, expect slight variation: tiny islands may be merged into a single piece during cutting. When in doubt, test at a slightly larger scale or simplify closely spaced details.
