390th Electronic Combat Squadron Holographic Decal Design

This die-cut vinyl decal celebrates the 390th Electronic Combat Squadron (390 ECS) of the United States Air Force, a unit specializing in electronic warfare and attack. The design embodies the squadron's critical mission of controlling the electromagnetic spectrum and supporting modern air combat operations.

Visual Elements & Representation

The artwork likely incorporates elements representative of the squadron's history and current role. Expect to see visual cues related to air power, such as stylized aircraft silhouettes. The presence of an EA-18G Growler, a key aircraft operated by the 390 ECS, is very likely and would visually represent the squadron's modern mission.

The use of a holographic finish adds a dynamic and modern element. The shifting colors and light refraction within the holographic material symbolize the ever-changing and complex nature of the electromagnetic spectrum the squadron actively manages. This effect also creates a visually arresting and high-tech aesthetic, appropriate for a unit employing cutting-edge electronic warfare technologies.

Symbolism

The overall design symbolizes the 390th ECS's commitment to defending U.S. and allied forces by disrupting enemy defenses through electronic attack. The design embodies the squadron's skill in electronic warfare and its contribution to dominating the electromagnetic battlespace.

Holographic vinyl decals with a high-contrast rainbow sheen, printed with eco-friendly inks on premium, weather-rated film. Waterproof, UV-protected, and available in five sizes.

Built to turn heads and hold up outdoors. These holographic decals use premium printable vinyl topped with a UV-protective laminate. The film is rated for multi-year outdoor exposure, so the color stays bold and the surface resists scuffs and sun fade.

  • Signature finish: a 99% opaque rainbow effect that shifts with angle and light—clean edges and a smooth, matte-sheen feel rather than a mirror gloss.
  • Waterproof: designed for rain, splashes, and regular washing on smooth, non-porous surfaces.
  • Eco-conscious printing: vibrant, high-density color produced with eco-solvent inks for sharp lines and rich gradients.
  • Color guidance: no white underbase is applied; pure white areas won’t print, and very light tones allow the holographic layer to show through. Darker tones deliver the strongest contrast.
  • Easy-peel backing: release liner separates cleanly for quick, bubble-free placement.

Made for smooth surfaces: glass, metal, coated plastics, sealed laptops, bottles, mirrors, lockers, and windows. Suitable for interiors and short-term exterior spots like vehicle windows or signage.

  1. Prep: clean the area with mild soap and water or 70% isopropyl alcohol; let it dry fully.
  2. Apply: peel, align, and press from the center outward with a card or squeegee to push out air.
  3. Set: allow 24 hours for the adhesive to reach full bond; avoid heavy moisture during this time.

Tips: Avoid heavily textured or silicone-coated surfaces. For curved items, apply slowly and don’t stretch the film.

  • Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth from the center outward to lift dust and grime.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents, or pressure washers that can dull the holographic layer.
  • If placed on bottles or mugs, hand-wash is recommended. Prolonged high-heat cycles can shorten adhesive life.

Available in five sizes. Measurements refer to the longest side of the decal. A “3 inch” option is 3 inches across its largest dimension; the die-cut follows the exact contour for crisp, professional edges.
