1er et 2e regiment dhelicopteres de combat - drapeau (France) STICKER Vinyl Kiss-Cut Decal

A vertical blue, white and red tricolour flag bearing the word INDOCHINE and the dates 1946-1954.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue, white and red run in three equal vertical bands across a rectangular flag. The bands are flat and even, and the layout is formal and centred. The lettering INDOCHINE sits across the design with the dates 1946-1954 beneath it, and these words are the only text. Nothing ornamental interrupts the stripes, so the tricolour and the inscription carry the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour is the national flag of France, and this design presents it as the flag of the 1st and 2nd Combat Helicopter Regiments, two aviation units of the French army. The inscription INDOCHINE and the dates 1946 to 1954 refer to the French campaign in Indochina, in which these helicopter units served. The flag stands for regimental pride, service and the continuity of French military aviation.

On the Kiss-Cut Sticker

A kiss-cut sticker follows the outline of the flag, so the rectangular shape and its lettering stand clear of the backing once applied. The clean stripes read well on smooth, flat surfaces such as laptops, journals and windows.
