Description/Blazon

A stylized right cylinder silhouette, with a white border, on a blue background. The design features a white garb bound in yellow and red, with three white spearheads, voided blue, emerging from the top of the garb.

Symbolism

Blue and white represent the Infantry. The garb, or bundle of wheat, is inspired by the Arms of the State of Pennsylvania, symbolizing peaceful pursuits, while the spearheads signify readiness for defense. The yellow and red ties symbolize the Armor and Artillery battalions that are part of the unit.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 13 July 1964 and amended on 6 August 1964 to update the description.
