12 Operations Support Squadron AETC (U.S. Air Force) Holographic STICKER Die-Cut Vinyl Decal

A heraldic badge built around a royal blue shield-style circle, with an owl of spread wings clutching a torch and an eight-pointed star, framed by lightning bolts and a blank scroll banner.

Visual Elements & Composition

Royal blue fills roughly two-fifths of the design and sets the field for everything else. Golden yellow carries the second layer of emphasis in the torch, star and bolts, while black provides the outlines and a crimson accent appears in small amounts. The owl sits at the centre in a strictly symmetrical pose, its wings open to both edges of the circular badge. A curved scroll banner runs across the lower part of the composition and is left blank, so the design carries no lettering of its own. The result is a compact, centred layout with clear silhouettes that read well at a distance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The owl, torch and star are established heraldic devices, and together they follow the vocabulary of military insignia: the owl stands for watchfulness, the torch for knowledge and training, and the lightning for speed and readiness. This design belongs to the United States Air Force, specifically the 12 Operations Support Squadron within the Air Education and Training Command. The squadron has held its current designation since December 15, 1991, and its lineage traces back to the World War II era. The mid-century character of the badge reflects the long tradition of unit crests in the service.

Built for the Sticker Itself

A kiss-cut sticker is trimmed to the exact outline of its artwork, so the circular badge, the spread wings and the bolts become the edge of the object rather than a shape sitting inside a rectangle. The holographic finish runs behind the blue and gold, so the badge catches light as it is turned in the hand or pressed onto a laptop lid, a notebook cover or a locker door. Collectors of unit insignia will recognise the heraldic structure at once, and the cut-to-shape format suits a design built on a single strong silhouette.

Holographic vinyl decals with a high-contrast rainbow sheen, printed with eco-friendly inks on premium, weather-rated film. Waterproof, UV-protected, and available in five sizes.

Built to turn heads and hold up outdoors. These holographic decals use premium printable vinyl topped with a UV-protective laminate. The film is rated for multi-year outdoor exposure, so the color stays bold and the surface resists scuffs and sun fade.

  • Signature finish: a 99% opaque rainbow effect that shifts with angle and light—clean edges and a smooth, matte-sheen feel rather than a mirror gloss.
  • Waterproof: designed for rain, splashes, and regular washing on smooth, non-porous surfaces.
  • Eco-conscious printing: vibrant, high-density color produced with eco-solvent inks for sharp lines and rich gradients.
  • Color guidance: no white underbase is applied; pure white areas won’t print, and very light tones allow the holographic layer to show through. Darker tones deliver the strongest contrast.
  • Easy-peel backing: release liner separates cleanly for quick, bubble-free placement.

Made for smooth surfaces: glass, metal, coated plastics, sealed laptops, bottles, mirrors, lockers, and windows. Suitable for interiors and short-term exterior spots like vehicle windows or signage.

  1. Prep: clean the area with mild soap and water or 70% isopropyl alcohol; let it dry fully.
  2. Apply: peel, align, and press from the center outward with a card or squeegee to push out air.
  3. Set: allow 24 hours for the adhesive to reach full bond; avoid heavy moisture during this time.

Tips: Avoid heavily textured or silicone-coated surfaces. For curved items, apply slowly and don’t stretch the film.

  • Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth from the center outward to lift dust and grime.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents, or pressure washers that can dull the holographic layer.
  • If placed on bottles or mugs, hand-wash is recommended. Prolonged high-heat cycles can shorten adhesive life.

Available in five sizes. Measurements refer to the longest side of the decal. A “3 inch” option is 3 inches across its largest dimension; the die-cut follows the exact contour for crisp, professional edges.
