Description
Un dispositif en métal et émail couleur or de 1 1/8 pouces (2,86 cm) de hauteur hors tout composé d'un écu blasonné : De gueules, sur une croix du champ fimbriée d'or à deux canons en pal du dernier. Attaché en dessous et sur les côtés de l'écu, un rouleau d'or inscrit "UNSURRENDERED" en lettres rouges.


Symbolisme
Le bouclier est rouge pour l'Artillerie. La croix rouge de Saint-Georges symbolise l'origine ancienne du régiment, pendant la guerre de la Révolution américaine. Les deux canons sont d'anciens trophées du Régiment.


Arrière-plan
L'insigne distinctif de l'unité a été initialement approuvé pour le 263d Coast Artillery Regiment le 17 avril 1935. Il a été renommé pour le 263d Tank Battalion le 1er août 1951. Il a été renommé pour le 263d Artillery Regiment le 11 juillet 1960. L'insigne a été renommé pour le 263d Air Defence Artillery Regiment le 9 février 1973.
