Description/Blazon
A shield blazoned: Azure, a saltire Argent, with an oak tree eradicated of the same in chief. Above the shield, from a wreath Argent and Azure, is a lion's head erased Or, collared and surrounded by four fusils Gules. Below and to the sides of the shield is a gold scroll inscribed "FIDELIS ET FORTIS" in black letters.

The insignia was redesignated for the 113th Armored Infantry Battalion on July 5, 1952, and later redesignated for the 113th Infantry Regiment with the State crest included on June 5, 1961.
