The character 南 sits in the upper half and the numerals 112 in a bold sans-serif beneath it. Both are centred inside the frame, leaving even margins on all four sides. The forms are flat and unshaded, and the contrast between the two colours does all the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

The character 南 (nán) means south. On a route marker it gives the direction of the road, and 112 is the identifier of the route itself. The square border belongs to road signage, where a framed panel marks a route for passing traffic. The piece takes its subject from that signage system and presents the sign as a self-contained graphic, with its directional character and its route number as the full content.

On the Kiss-Cut Sticker

A kiss-cut sticker follows the outline of the artwork, so the square frame becomes the sticker's own edge. On a laptop lid, a journal cover or a window, the cut shape reads as one route sign set against the surface. The character and numerals are centred within the frame, so the image and the cut line agree and the sign reads as a single unit.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/tw-thwtn112-taiwan-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-TWTHW-2X2-1FL0Z-2-front.webp?v=1793833529
