tw-thwpt10-2-taiwan-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal
TW THWpt10-2 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

TW THWpt10-2 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This design reproduces a Taiwanese route marker for Pingtung County Township Road 10-2, drawn as a flat, high-contrast rectangle of black and white.

Visual Elements & Composition

White dominates the artwork, filling about 88 percent of the field, with black making up the remaining 12 percent. A black rectangular border frames the entire sign, and the layout is centred and symmetrical. The Chinese character 屏 sits inside the frame in bold black, with the numerals 10-2 set heavy beneath it so they read at a glance. Nothing decorative intrudes. Every mark is functional.

Meaning & Symbolism

The inscription 屏10-2線 identifies both a region and a route. 屏 stands for Pingtung (屏東) County, and 10-2 is the number of this township road. The code TW marks the sign as Taiwanese, and the THWpt designation follows the naming system used within the Republic of China's traffic sign set. The rectangular format separates county township roads from the national highway and freeway shields that carry more prominence across the island. The result is a modern, utilitarian marker that shows how municipal geography is communicated to drivers.

On the Die-Cut Stickers

Because the sticker is cut to its own outline, the rectangle of the sign becomes the object itself, with no surrounding field to compete with the characters. A sign designed to be read quickly at a glance suits a sticker that is also seen up close, where the bold 屏 and the 10-2 numerals hold their shape. For collectors of Taiwanese road signage, this piece brings the route marker onto a surface they can handle and place wherever they choose.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/tw-thwpt10-2-taiwan-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-TWTHW-WHITED-1FK9S-front.webp?v=1793812916
