A rounded rectangular frame encloses the whole composition, and the character 嘉 and the numerals 80 are the only elements inside it. Both are set in black sans-serif, so the sign's contrast comes from the dark marks against the light ground rather than from any colour or ornament.

Meaning & Symbolism

A route shield names the road it marks, which is its entire function on a highway. The character 嘉 refers to Chiayi, a county in western Taiwan, and the numerals 80 identify the route. The shield form is a familiar part of Taiwan's road signage, so the design communicates regional identity through the conventions of the road itself.

Fitting the Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker is cut around the artwork's outline, and the rounded frame here is a single closed shape. The edge of the sticker therefore follows the sign's own border. Applied to a surface, the piece reads as a self-contained emblem, and its heavy black numerals stay readable at a glance.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/tw-thwcy80-taiwan-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-TWTHW-WHITED-1FKMI-front.webp?v=1793815404
