The layout is one centred image rather than a scattered arrangement, so the eye settles on a clear, unified shape. Nothing in the design competes with the central subject, which keeps the sign legible from a distance.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign is a tool of wayfinding: it tells a traveller where they are and what lies ahead. Applied to Brazil, the format turns the country into a point of orientation, a marker you pass rather than a picture you simply look at. The SP-675 designation is the library's reference code, so the number identifies the piece and the name identifies its subject.

Why It Suits the Kiss-Cut Stickers

A road sign is defined by its outline, and a kiss-cut sticker is cut to exactly that outline. The sign's edge becomes the edge of the object, so the design sits on a surface without a border around it. It works best on flat surfaces where a sign would naturally be placed, such as a laptop lid or the cover of a journal, where the roadside idea of directing attention carries over to the everyday object it sits on.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/sp-675-brazil-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-SP675-2X2-1FQYL-front.webp?v=1793750930
