The layout is grand and processional in feel, with the figures placed to lead the eye toward the wedding theme. The design's strength lies in its sweep of figures and the sense of a formal, staged moment.

Meaning & Symbolism

Allegory was the language of European court painting, and a marriage between noble houses was one of its most important subjects. This work presents the union of the Elector Palatine in mythological and symbolic terms, celebrating the alliance as a matter of dynastic honour. Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini was an Italian painter who worked widely across Europe, and this canvas belongs to the decorative tradition of his era.

On the Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker follows the outline of the artwork, so the principal figures can be cut as a single shape. Dense groups of figures packed closely together may merge into one cut, so the larger forms carry the sticker best. The design suits collectors of baroque allegory who want a court scene on a laptop, journal or notebook.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/pellegrini-giovanni-antonio-an-allegory-of-the-marriage-of-the-elector-palatine-artwork-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal-37638511704343448761-front.webp?v=1789089340
https://thestickerspace.com/products/pellegrini-giovanni-antonio-an-allegory-of-the-marriage-of-the-elector-palatine-artwork-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal
