isl-7008-iceland-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal
ISL 7008 (Iceland) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

ISL 7008 (Iceland) (Road Sign) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This piece takes the form of a road sign and names Iceland outright, setting a place identifier at the centre of the design as its entire subject.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built around a single, legible sign format, with the ISL identifier and the number 7008 as its主 text. Nothing competes with that lettering. The composition is direct and frontal, the way a road sign is read at a glance from the road: one message, one focal point, no decorative surround. The restraint is the point of the layout.

Meaning & Symbolism

ISL is the three-letter country code for Iceland, so the sign reads as a country reference before it reads as anything else. The number 7008 places the piece seventh in its numerical series, which frames the work as a catalogued entry within a wider ISL collection. The road-sign format carries its own meaning: signs exist to mark a location and direct the eye to it. Here that function is turned toward a nation, making the artwork a conceptual study of regional identity and of how places are classified and named.

Made for the Cut Edge

A die-cut sticker is shaped to its own outline, so the sign's silhouette becomes part of the artwork rather than a border around it. Each sticker stands alone as a single object, the way a sign does at the roadside, and it can be placed on a laptop, a notebook or a journal where its clean structure reads clearly up close. For collectors of regional and location-based pieces, the ISL 7008 sticker keeps the catalogue logic of the series in a form that fits in the hand.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/isl-7008-iceland-road-sign-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-SL700-WHITED-17-front.webp?v=1793932493
