White covers nearly half the sticker, while orange, blue, red and green appear in the flag motifs. The Union Jack, the Orange Free State flag and the Transvaal flag are all visible, and the flat vector style keeps the map and flags clear.

Meaning & Symbolism

The design pairs geography with the flags that marked the territories at the time, so the map records political boundaries as much as landforms. The period from 1982 to 1990 sits in the late twentieth century, and the flags show how the region was identified through its national and provincial emblems. The result is an archival view of southern African history rather than a modern political map.

Cut to Its Own Outline

A kiss-cut sticker traces the outline of the map and leaves the backing intact, so the coastline and borders set the sticker's shape. It suits smooth, flat surfaces such as a laptop, a journal or a window, where the flags can be read against the map.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/flag-map-of-south-africa-1982-1990-with-south-west-africa-south-africa-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-15306251633216647742-front.webp?v=1786546103
https://thestickerspace.com/products/flag-map-of-south-africa-1982-1990-with-south-west-africa-south-africa-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal
