I, 14th Georgia Infantry Regiment, In Uniform And Cs Buckle With Books (U.S. Civil War) STICKER Vinyl Die-Cut Decal

This sticker reproduces a 1860s portrait of Colonel Felix L. Price, Company I, 14th Georgia Infantry Regiment, shown standing in uniform beside books.

Visual Elements & Composition

The image is a sepia-toned studio portrait, with the bearded officer standing in a grey military frock coat and tall boots. Beside him are a carved chair and a fluted column pedestal, and a sword tassel hangs at his belt. The soft grey and brown tones dominate, with gold showing in the frame and dark red and charcoal in the backdrop. The layout is an oval vignette set within a rectangular gilt frame, which gives the picture a formal, period character.

Meaning & Symbolism

The portrait belongs to the American Civil War, and it presents the officer in the dress of his service. The Confederate States buckle at his waist identifies the cause he served, and the books beside him suggest the scholarly side of a man who also held a commission. The studio setting, with its column and carved chair, was the conventional format of the period's portrait photography. The image records a single officer of the 14th Georgia Infantry at a moment in the 1860s.

On the Die-Cut Sticker

A die-cut sticker is cut to the outline of its artwork, so the figure, chair and column can stand on their own without a square border. Stuck to a laptop, a sketchbook or a window, the portrait becomes a small piece of Civil War heritage that rewards a closer look at its detail.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/colonel-felix-l-price-of-co-i-14th-georgia-infantry-regiment-in-uniform-and-cs-buckle-with-books-us-civil-war-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal-17004898053904761762-front.webp?v=1790540392
https://thestickerspace.com/products/colonel-felix-l-price-of-co-i-14th-georgia-infantry-regiment-in-uniform-and-cs-buckle-with-books-us-civil-war-sticker-vinyl-die-cut-decal
