By employing a vintage-inspired aesthetic, Kennedy channels the visual weight of historical broadsides and archival placards. The arrangement is deliberate and balanced, utilizing negative space to force the viewer to engage directly with the syntax of the message. The absence of decorative flair ensures the text functions as the primary visual engine of the piece, echoing the raw, manual sensibility of traditional letterpress.

The Weight of the Message

At its core, this design functions as a modern artifact of social consciousness. By recontextualizing the familiar call for peace, Kennedy anchors the sentiment in the specific cultural urgency of 2020. It evokes the long lineage of activist typography, serving as a visual statement that demands reflection on the interconnected nature of justice and societal stability. The work acts as a bridge between the historical tradition of public-domain-inspired protest art and the immediate, ongoing discourse surrounding equality.

On the Kiss-Cut Sticker

As a kiss-cut decal, this design is liberated from the constraints of a standard frame, allowing the text itself to dictate the boundary of the object. Because the backing remains intact, the sticker functions as a standalone typographic unit, ready to be applied to flat, indoor surfaces such as journals or laptop lids where the sharp, vintage-style lettering can serve as a focused, permanent visual anchor.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/amos-kennedy-know-justice-know-peace-2020-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-MSKNN-2X2-OFUB-front.webp?v=1789117381
https://thestickerspace.com/products/amos-kennedy-know-justice-know-peace-2020-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal
