Decamps constructs the vignette with expressive, rapid linework, focusing visual weight on the dense cluster of animals as they press against one another within the rustic enclosure.

Romanticism & Sporting Realism

Originating from the 1829 series *Hunting Scenes*, this work reflects Decamps’ pioneering role in French Romanticism and his fascination with rustic, everyday realism over grand historical subjects. The hounds symbolize the raw, unpolished energy of the hunt, rendered with a psychological intensity that elevates domestic animal subjects into high art.

On the Kiss-Cut Stickers

This intricate 1829 lithographic study adapts to the kiss-cut format by having its custom silhouette follow the jagged edges of the hounds' grouping, turning a historic museum print into a sharp, peelable accent for your laptop lid or journal cover.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/alexandre-gabriel-decamps-the-kennel-from-hunting-scenes-1829-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-LXNGBR-2X2-26-front.webp?v=1789218462
https://thestickerspace.com/products/alexandre-gabriel-decamps-the-kennel-from-hunting-scenes-1829-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal
