The dense network of etched strokes creates deep shadows and stark highlights, emphasizing the textural grit of nineteenth-century printmaking and urban architecture.

Historical Context & Significance

The Société des Aquafortistes was a pivotal nineteenth-century French society that revived and championed original etching as a fine art medium rather than a purely reproductive craft. By depicting the actual headquarters of this influential printmaking collective, Potémont documents the epicenter of the etching revival, celebrating the artists, publishers, and printmakers who gathered to advance graphic arts in Paris.

On the Kiss-Cut Stickers

Translating this intricate nineteenth-century architectural etching into a kiss-cut sticker allows the complex linework of Potémont's print to be cleanly isolated against its surroundings, framing the historical Parisian facade within its precise custom outline for placement on laptops, journals, and flat indoor surfaces.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/adolphe-martial-potmont-headquarters-of-the-socit-des-aquafortistes-1864-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-DLPMRT-2X2-13RWK-front.webp?v=1789158446
https://thestickerspace.com/products/adolphe-martial-potmont-headquarters-of-the-socit-des-aquafortistes-1864-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal
