The infantryman stands in a rigid, formal posture, emphasizing the specific tailoring and military hardware of the period. Delicate linework defines the texture of the uniform, while the neutral background ensures the bold primary colors of the regimental details command the viewer's focus. The typography at the base anchors the image, maintaining the original aesthetic of the commercial cigarette card issued over a century ago.

Meaning & Symbolism

This image represents the era of "tobacco cards," which served as both stiffeners for soft cigarette packs and highly collectible artifacts for the public. The Military Uniforms series functioned as a miniature encyclopedia of global forces, turning the mundane act of smoking into a hobby of international discovery. By isolating this specific Russian infantryman, the design captures the intersection of industrial mass-production and the Victorian-era fascination with categorizing the global military landscape through uniform evolution.

On the Kiss-Cut Sticker

As a kiss-cut decal, the intricate silhouette of this historic uniform is preserved by a contour cut that traces the edge of the illustration. Because the sticker is cut specifically to the bounds of the Russian infantryman, the visual density of the lithograph transitions seamlessly from the page to the surface of your laptop or journal, turning a static piece of museum-archived commercial art into a mobile, hand-held graphic.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0493/3949/8646/files/abdul-cigarettes-fatigue-cap-infantry-russia-from-the-military-uniforms-series-t182-issued-by-abdul-1881-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal-TSS-STICK-BDLCGR-2X2-33-front.webp?v=1789129698
https://thestickerspace.com/products/abdul-cigarettes-fatigue-cap-infantry-russia-from-the-military-uniforms-series-t182-issued-by-abdul-1881-sticker-vinyl-kiss-cut-decal
